The wacky happenings of an author are probably the same as anyone else. It was a busy week since last Wednesday, filled with flowers, dinosaurs, and more flowers. Last Wednesday marked my 12th anniversary to my wonderfully romantic husband. I wonder where all the years have gone because there are times when it feels like yesterday we just got married. I had a surprise delivery of a pretty spectacular bouquet, which made my heart melt. What do you think?
We also had a relaxing kid-free weekend. It had nothing to do with our anniversary. The grandparents needed some kid-time and we need some non-kid time. Worked out for all of us. We took the opportunity to see the new movie, Jurassic World. I am a fan of Jurassic Park and I wondered if this new movie would live up the original twenty odd years later. Nothing could replace the first movie, but the new one did leave me on the edge of my seat and had some pretty cool scenes. I'm glad I saw it on the big screen. I loved it.

Moving on into the weekend took us on a trip to Lowe's to purchase new plants for our landscaping. It took some creative man & woman power (and the very nice Lowe's employee) for us to pick out some flowering bushes and flowers for our front yard. I think it's going to turn out pretty good. There are still some additional plants we need before we can declare it finished but it's a good start. I spotted the same lilies that were in my anniversary bouquet and had to have them. Now, I'll have the memory of my special delivery always at hand.
So, there you have it - flowers, dinosaurs, and more flowers in this busy author's life.
